Hey All,
So our pink friend turned 20 and Nintendo has released a special edition Wii game in his honor. I had mine pre ordered and will be picking it up tomorrow. They also revealed today that Club Nintendo will be giving away Kirby prizes for the rest of the month, the only tricky thing is we don't know when so we just have to check back daily. I've set clubnintendo's website up as me home page so I don't miss out on anything. They released a Kirby Medal about a week ago and I checked one day and they hadn't released it yet then I checked the next day and they were sold out so I need to be more diligent this time around. There were only 1,000 medals and I really wanted one so I might have to check eBay but the problem with that is people are selling them for well over $100. If you're a hard core Kirby fan than you definitely can't miss out on this opportunity to grab a speical edition game as well as a chance to win other cool kirby stuff from nintendo. Good luck!

Hey Everyone
Hey All,
I just uploaded a new "Recent Pickups Video" on my YouTube page so be sure to check it out. It was a pretty big haul for me. School is starting to pick up a bit and I'm sure within another week or two it'll be more intense than I would prefer. Anyway, definitely be sure to check out my YouTube channel because I'm putting stuff up all the time.
Peace!

Goodwill Finds
So this weekend my wife and I went to our local Goodwill to find some great deals on baby toys. Twice a month they have a 1/2 off everything sale so it was a great time to load up. We bought quite a few childrens books and just a couple toys. I was suprised when I saw these there-so I picked them up because they're really cool looking and I thought they would compliment my video game collection on a shelf.
Also GameStop changed their marketing yesterday and one of the managers let me know that they were doing that and told me to swing in and pick up the stuff they took down. You can find some really good stuff that way. I have a ton of posters and big box displays now (some cool some not so cool) and I didn't have to pay a dime because I befriended the employees there so now they just hook me up, IT'S AWESOME! Also, a different employee gave me the sound track to the Last Story. I had a copy of the game but not the sound track because I didn't preorder the game. How it turns out this particular GameStop had 2 people who had preordered the game buy it elsewhere. So there's a tip for every collector out there, it pays off to get to know the people working at game stores in your area.
Well, I'll be back with another collecting update soon. This week I'll be posting a video on my YouTube channel showing off all the stuff I've added to my collection in the month of August and there's a lot of stuff so you don't want to miss it. Be sure to check it out Saturday when I post it!

School is back in session
Hey everyone!
So, the fall semester started up and is underway. This is both good news and bad news. Good news in the sense that I will be closer to finished school FOREVER, but it's bad news because during the school year the collecting kind of gets put on the back burner. Of course, I'll still be making the most of the saturday mornings driving from garage sale to garage sale and occasionally swinging by second hand stores to see what treasures are waiting. The thing that will mainly get put on hold will be my Craigslist transactions (which is where I find the majority of my stuff) so we'll just have to see how everything plays out.
Have any of you had any good finds? If so post them below! Catch ya next post!

Weekend Finds
So it was a pretty productive weekend as far as gaming goes! To start things off Saturday morning I headed over to GameStop to pick up a copy of The Last Story for the Wii. This game is pretty sweet looking. I intend to maintain a sealed copy so I won't be opening mine but I've looked up some pictures online of everything that comes with it and it looks fantastic. I'm choosing not to open it because I am pretty confident that this title will be one of the rarer ones to find on the wii, because the wii is at the end of its lifespan.
Then my wife and I went to a few garage sales and found some good deals as far a baby items go. I was able to pick up some original xbox stuff though. I generally just stick to nintendo but I offered a lady $40 for 2 original xbox systems about 5 controllers and 24 games. My intent is to resell it-I'm hoping I'll be able to make a decent profit on it.
Last but not least we got to Goodwill. I always check for video games here but I rarely find them. However, I also am into board games and I have a large selection to choose from. I generally get some great deals on board games at Goodwill (and they generally have all the pieces-something that is very important for board games). My recent board game purchases from Goodwill consist of "Poo card game" "Monopoly-Star Wars Saga Edition" "Monopoly- Star Wars Clone Wars" "Moods" and "Sequence". All are in pretty good condition and I'm glad I found them. Most of these games go for 20+ in retail stores but at Goodwill I can generally pick them up for no more than $2.99 ea.
Well, that's the post for today. Stay tuned to see what my updates are for this week.

The Weekend
Well, the weekend is upon us and I've got a lot planned. I have to work today and tomorrow but that doesn't mean I am not going to be able to find some sweet video game deals out there. I already have one deal set up and I'm meeting a guy tomorrow afternoon. I'm not going to spoil what it is though, so you'll just have to read my next post and I'll include a picture.
I also plan on hitting up a few garage sales to see if there's any good deals, I haven't been garage saling in a while, and I'm excited to see if I can snag a deal or two. Gotta run for today, Catch ya later!

What I've Added to the Collection Recently
So, some of the things that I've added to the collection recently have been pretty cool to find. I have recieved a Kingdom Hearts Standee (I'll post a picture when I get the chance). Just this past weekend I met up with a guy on Craigslist and purchased a Sealed Platinum Nintendo Wavebird Controller. Sunday was my birthday as well and my family got me some cool Nintendo related items, such as mario decoration, an NES controller belt buckle, and I also got quite a bit of Mario Kart Wii K'nex. If you haven't seen these things be sure to check them out, they're a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to having my nephews come over and use them with me.
That's all for this post, but stay tuned and I'll be back soon to bring you the latest on the collection.

Retro Gaming at it's Best!!
So I've recently started collecting retro video games. Been doing it for about a year and my collection is vast but still has a LOT of room for improvement. I have a youtube channel where I upload videos about my journey. You can check it out in the sidebar to your right. Below is a picture of my collection about 2 months ago. It's grown quite a bit since then and I'm proud of it's size.
Do you collect video games? If so what kind? What's your favorite possesion in your collection? Just some food for thought until the next post.
